Discrete Property Class Editor

You can use the Discrete Property Class Editor to add property classes, or to change the color of existing classes. You can also add a texture for display in the Well View. In the JewelExplorer, scroll to the discrete log located in Well Data > All Logs, right-click the discrete log and from the context menu select Properties > Edit Classes. The Discrete Property Class Editor form opens.

Changing the name of an existing property class

Some names, e.g. in facies logs, are displayed as consecutive numbers. Click in the Name column of the property class you want to change. Select the line where you want to change the number to a name and simply overwrite it.

Changing the color of an existing property class

Click in the Color column of the property class you want to change the color for. Use the drop-down menu to select another color. You can also adjust the values in the Red, Green and Blue columns.

Assigning a texture to a property class

Click in the Texture column of the property class you want to assign a texture to. Use the drop-down list to select a texture. The textures that you select here are displayed only in the Well View. If you want, you can add your own textures using the Texture Catalog.

Adding a property class

In the column Name, in the empty row at the bottom, enter a name for the new property class. Use subsequent rows to add more classes if needed. Verify the property class ID. Next, select a color to use for this new property class. Optionally, you can assign a texture to the new property class. Once the new property class has been added (after Apply/OK at the base of the form), you can add the property class to the log either via 'painting' the class directly in the track in the Well View (see Graphically editing logs with the Paint Log tool) or via the table on the Logs form (see Creating and editing logs).

To delete a property class, click in front of the first cell (the row turns blue and a little arrow appears), then click Delete on your keyboard.

Click OK to save the changes and close the form, or click Apply to save the changes and keep the form open for further editing.
